I am currently interested in investigating the light and gas exchange response of pecan and other nut and vine crops in relation to treatment effects or environmental interaction with plant physiology. This includes projects investigating mineral nutrition interactions on the intercellular level, salinity interaction of pecan on a diversity of cultivars, irrigation timing and water stress, disease responses, and capturing data of the phenology of pecan trees across the growing season. I have also been co-investigating with Dr. Jennifer Randall and her team to help establish critical pecan genetic knowledge in order to provide information to the industry to help sustain the diversity of North America’s native nut tree.
