Mapping Population in Georgia

First planting of mapping population pecan seedlings at the University of Georgia Tifton campus.

February 27, 2019

This location is one of four locations that will be planted with the same genetic cross. Other locations to be planted with the same cross are Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. By studying the same cross at regions across the pecan growing belt researchers will be able to learn how environmental differences influence the expression of key traits.
